Merry Superman Christmas!

Merry Christmas 2022!  So I received the Death and Return of Superman Omni for Christmas, and I think I'll also be adding this book to my Legion reposts. Amazing that they were able to collect all these stories in one volume, and I'm glad as I have most of these originals, but I'm sure I've missed at least a few here. Hope you all are having a great holiday season in however you enjoy and celebrate! -Jim

The bundle was gelato, but now the gang-bangers are surrounding and threatening to rape her. Out of nowhere, the Vipers are attacked by a "Wolf" on the Cobra "turf" with an assist from Tinya herself.  Tinya and her rescuer talk

Val's been here for months since the Rift incident along with Andrew Nolan.  We shift over to Ferro, who is in a fight with the criminal Nadir, recently escaped from Takron-Galtos.  It does not go well for Ferro, who's helmet is ripped off and some nasty rending sounds are shown.   Back to Val, he is still contemplating his choice, as he has embraced a pacifist philosophy and feels as if he's losing his edge, but he feels as if he's gain

As in the Blight invasion of Earth, the Robotican invasion of Xanthu takes no time at all, using high technology and bio-weapons to subdue the planet to the point of hand to hand combat being the last defense. This brings us to XS, recently arrived on Xanthu after Star Boy/Thom Kallor had been there a while as part of the Amazers. In interesting gear. Just in time to help with the fight. She comes into play with her typical rushed style, which is

Released June 27, 2001 DC Comics, Color 39 Pages Story #1: You Are Here: Braal Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning - Writers Paul Rivoche - Artist Tom McCraw - Colors Comicraft - Letters Mike McAvennie - Editor Synopsis After the tiny tidbit in LW1, where Zoe tells us that Dyrk has been stationed as a SP officer on Braal, we are dumped in media res with Dyrk 12 hours in on the job and dealing with crazy Magnoball fans.  Nice bit of exposition on the fact that he's lost his native magnetism powers, but his SP and Legion training sees him through without the need for backup.  We get a little conversation with Dyrk's partner that this is taking place within 12 hours of the events of LW1, so that's a nice little advancement of the timeline.  The conversation reveals details about Dyrk's brother Omar, also a SP officer on Earth, as well as the introduction of the Footstep stardrive technology (originally mentioned in LW1).  Rapid interstellar travel IS possible without stargates,

A note on the plot summaries

Hey there - just a quick note.  The original versions of these reviews on Legion World had much more in depth plot summaries, but I've decided to shorten those in the releases here since its a more open forum and more folks have access to the DC Universe app, which I highly recommend for access to the 70s-today library of DC Comics.   If you'd like me to add more detail, please feel free to drop me a line!

We then switch to a news report hosted by Vigo & Trudy giving us a text synopsis of the prior nine pages, bu

Hello World!

Hello and welcome!   I'm Jim - you may know me on the social medias (Discord, Mastodon, etc) as JimboFett.  I'm an IT professional in my "real" life (whatever the hell that is), and am a big fan of most genre culture: TV (Star Trek, Twin Peaks), Movies (Star Wars) and comics (mainly DC).  I'm also a huge Legion of Super Heroes fan and came to the team with the 1994 reboot, so that team is my absolute favorite version, although I like all of them to varying degrees (and for various reasons). Most of what I've been re-reading lately was the Abnett & Lanning version of the Legion as well as the Threeboot. I set this up as a challenge for myself in 2021, as I was not happy with either version of the team due to the changes made - I felt the DnA version was too dark and angsty and lasted too long, and I never understood the reason for the Threeboot, nor did I care for the characterizations.  So as a result, I started to do read/reviews on the Legion World websi
